 To
experience an unforgettable hunting trip, The Roost should be your destination.
Our hunting lodge offers over 8,000 acres of prime whitetail deer hunting.
Our lands and wildlife are carefully managed by Ken Dyson, your host.
This lush, fertile land is renowned for growing trophy whitetail and plentiful
turkey. In addition to whitetail deer and turkey we also provide quail
hunting. All of our hunting trips are guided by experienced hunters. Our
guides are not only knowledgeable of our lands but also Black Belt hunting
in general. Our first class facility is located in Pickens County, just
outside of Aliceville. The Roost has proven to be one of the premier hunting
lodges in the South.
The Roost offers the best of the best in "Black Belt" hunting.
Our hunters hunt over rows of crops of soybean and corn. During the winter,
wheat fields and CRP. Good genetics, rich soil, and a controlled harvest
provide for impressive bucks.
If your passion is to hunt the most elusive game bird in the world, The
Roost’s turkey hunting is prime. If you would like to hunt a local
Eastern bird in Alabama, the Roost has on-staff guides.
For
the small-game lover, our intensively farmed agricultural area annually
supports one of the largest bird populations in the south. We also provide
quail hunting. At The Roost, we have both a large wild bird population,
as well as pen raised quail, and Pheasants are available upon request.
We also provide comfortable lodging for our guests. Our nature-influenced
design provides our guests with a full hunting experience, along with
the sleep needed after a successful hunt.
Meals
feature traditional southern cooking served buffet style to complete the
outdoor experience. Our swimming pool provides a wonderful way to cool
off and relax in the warmer bow season.
The Roost can provide everything you need to create unforgettable hunting
memories. Our comfortable lodging and abundance of wildlife create a winning
combination. Every hunter’s destination this season should be The
Roost.
We have built a private lake in the middle of our game preserve, and stocked
it Florida Bass. These superfast growing Bass (2-3 lbs per year) has plenty
of forage species such as Bream and Threadfin Shad. Catches of 50 to 60
bass per day are commonplace. Click
